Background

Access to new knowledge and emerging technology plays an important role in the business of exploration and production companies. It contributes to the acquisition of new assets and can add value to existing assets.

Access is also of prime importance to contractors, the ìtechnology deliveryî companies, whose competitive edge is maintained and enhanced by their capability for continuous innovation.

Both PSTI and MTD Ltd are committed to establishing R&D projects of relevance to the industry and in promoting the transfer of their output to commercial application.

Aims of the Forum

This event, the first major collaborative venture by PSTI and MTD Ltd in technology transfer, will provide a unique opportunity for a direct and detailed briefing on the combined R&D portfolios of both organisations.

It will also include presentations on other technologies and R&D which have resulted from co-ordination and investment activities carried out by PSTI/MTD on behalf of their Members.

The Forum will be a major showcase for UK R&D and emerging technology in upstream oil and gas.

Poster Session
