1.	To develop wholly effective, benign and longer lasting treatments for corrosion             TE + CR
         inhibition, scale inhibition, wax / hydrates / asphaltene inhibition.

         -	more effective, environmentally benign corrosion inhibitors needed
                 especially for "sour"  (H2S) service in North Sea's HP/HT fields; 

2.	To reduce chemical inventories offshore, including by development of multi-                 TE + CR
         function chemicals:
   
   	-	exploitation of molecular modelling technology in design.
	
        (Asset focus of the above topics: all field developments but especially those 
        with difficult produced fluids.)
