The 1996 edition of the International Petroleum
Research Directory (IPRD) will be published in June, to be followed
shortly afterwards by the Windows CD-ROM. The new version of
the directory will have 700 new research project entries and 70
additional research organisations listed.
Since its launch in 1992, the International
Petroleum Research Directory (IPRD) has become one of the leading
sources of information on active research and development projects
in the upstream oil and gas industry.
This edition features new projects on minimising
problems associated with multiphase production, in areas such
as hydrate formation and inhibition, slug flow, corrosion problems
associated with multiphase systems and wax/asphaltene deposition.
In the area of drilling technology projects are featured on borehole
stability, slimhole technology and hydraulic fracture monitoring
using micro-seismic imaging. Within the area of production geoscience
the application of seismic techniques used as an aid to reservoir
management are featured.
A copy of both the book and the CD-ROM versions
will be distributed to PSTI Member companies. Non-members can
obtain the IPRD at a cost of £199 for the book and £490
for the CD-ROM.
