JUNIPER Programme workshop, 23-24 April 1996, Bristol

The PSTI Juniper Programme on managing reservoir uncertainty is holding a workshop on 23-24 April in Bristol. The main aim of the event will be to demonstrate the progress and direction of the Programme to Member companies. A detailed presentation of the approaches developed by the Juniper Group towards managing uncertainty during reservoir appraisal and development will be made.

To illustrate the new approaches, the Juniper Programme has focused on uncertainty in gross rock determination, with specific attention given to managing uncertainties in top structure and oil water contact. Presentations from Consultants associated with the Programme will address some key issues of gross rock volume determination from an industry perspective.

It is intended to circulate documents prior to the workshop to facilitate focused and informed discussion. The documents will include summaries of existing techniques and methodologies of handling uncertainty, and a summary with a worked example of the approach developed at Bristol.

The workshop will be held at Jury's Hotel, Bristol on 23-24 April 1996 and is open to all PSTI Member companies. Programme and Registration details will be circulated nearer the date and will be available on PTERIS.
