FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

PSTI's International Petroleum Research and Technology Forum will address strategic issues in research, technological development and innovation of importance to the upstream petroleum industry in the UK and internationally.

Representatives of industry, the R&D community and government will make presentations on challenges facing the industry. Science, engineering, and the processes to ensure the timely acquisition and delivery of new knowledge and technology will all have a place on the Forum's agenda.

An exhibition is also planned which will promote awareness of new developments in science and of emerging technologies of relevance to the industry.

The Forum will be of relevance to those in the management of PSTI's Member companies responsible for the acquisition of cost efficient technology and for setting strategic R&D priorities. The event will be of interest to those in government responsible for research spend and research programme planning, and also to researchers and technology delivery companies looking to determine where industry's challenges lie and how they might work more effectively with PSTI's Members and others.

To contribute to costs, and in particular to permit the participation of key members of the research community, the following delegate registration fees will apply:

PSTI Member: �155
Non-member: �235
University researcher: �50

One representative of organisations contributing to the exhibition will be admitted free of charge.
