With many of the major oilfields already discovered and producing, Companies are turning their attention to smaller accumulations which can only be economically developed by F.P.S., with the added advantage of "re-useability" and the virtual elimination of abandonment costs.
OCS, in recognition of this trend, has been expanding its activities into worldwide research on this subject. This entails the acquisition of data from the intended market and a high degree of research into worldwide oil and gas fields, in conjunction with the Operators. Coupled with location, infrastructure and environmental parameters, eg wave, climate, water depth and temperature, this forms the data base for F.P.S. design in any given area.
The Company also works in conjunction with leading Project Management Companies and presents in an unbiased way, the solutions offered by these Companies. Much of this information is obtained by way of research papers which the Companies provide, and the information is assembled in an easy-to-study format which is made available in a cohesive compact document. The information is also available on CD Rom or Diskette.
