Over the past few years MWS and ELS have been very active in areas of new technology to enhance and expand the range of services being offered. There are several developments currently in progress or being evaluated including:-
A new tool string designed for operation in hp/ht wells with enhanced reliability. Special hybrid electronics and new sensors will make the tool string very short. New sensors for high angle and horizontal wells are included in the project
in stages, through 1995 and 1996
A new device for monitoring flow profile and particle size/velocity in production wells
end 1995
A motorised device for pushing logging tools along horizontal and high angle wells without requiring coiled tubing
mid 1995
A PL sensor for monitoring the sand production from individual sets of perforations
NOW
A remotely operated inflatable packer for use on coiled tubing for downhole well control
Mid 1995
A well proven SCADA data base that is based on real-time, multi-tasking operating system and has been adapted for both well-testing and coiled tubing data acquisition
NOW
A digitally controlled SAFE initiation system for plug setting and perforation, will set the new standard for this type of operation
mid-1995
